Ok, so its heaven on earth.

Did you know the most perfect body in our solar system, the sun has small blemishes on it and I just found out Hoi An has one too. Its the bloody Cockerel that lives next door. This thing has no concept of time. It has been at it all night. I think they must have shipped him in from Nebraska and he is either jet lagged or still on Omaha time. I am deadly serious this bugger started cock a doodle doodling at 01:15 and didnt shut up till it was time to wake people up.  He is nice and quiet now, i think i will go over and wake him up just to even up the score.

By the way, lots of comments, thanks for those. Its nice to know you guys are actually enjoying this trip. Sister & her friends, Uncle Harry friends from USA, Canada, Sweden, Greece, Belgium, Spain, England. cool stuff really. Sorry if i missed anyone out.

Seriously though, i was planning on getting up early today. I visited the ancient holy site of My Son. It was built betwen the 4th and the 14th century and is one of the most highly regarded religeous sites in South east Asia.

The Kings of the Cham dynasty oredered this site to be built as a place of worship and thats all it served as, no one ever stayed there, just worship.

It was sacked and persecuted through the centuries and in the 14th or there about evacuated as the Cham people and followers were forced south. It was then forgotten till late 18th century when a French Architect discovered it under many hundreds of years of earth and trees.

You can still make out many of the main temple buildings and it has many smaller building still looking good for 1600 years of wear and tear.

Vietnam has been the battle gorund for many races either trying to take over or trying to help them out and the site is littered with craters from the Vietnam conflict time as this was a prime place for the Viet Cong to hide out suring their march into the south.

It is now the home to several gazillian buttterflies, look out for the pictures of them. Also on the way out here i passed many plantations of Lotus flowers. I wish i could have stopped, apparently they use every part of the flower, seeds, bllom, even the leaves are used to steam food in,, nice.

I left the hotel at 05:00 am to make my way here and got back to the hotel at 10:00.

This will be another hot day today and after i have  alittle nap i may make it out to the beach for an afternoon of relaxation and looking at pretty ladies,, Oops did i say that out loud. I meant swimming.

Some pictures from this morning, no funny captions because i really need to catch up on some sleep.
